Winos Rejoice: Red Wine May Fight Cancer PDF Print E-mail

Good news, winos: the list of health benefits attributed to drinking red wine just got longer.

A new pancreatic cancer study found that an antioxidant in grape skins called resveratrol can make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation while making healthy tissue less sensitive – a win-win for cancer patients, it seems.

Resveratrol is produced in grape skins to fight fungal infection, including exposure to yeast during fermentation, and also exists in non-alcoholic grape products, like red grape juice. The levels vary depending on the type of grape and growing season.

Though scientists say more research is needed, that bottle of merlot sitting on your counter may turn out to be a promising anti-cancer agent. So, go ahead, pour yourself another glass.

As We Know, WOW GOLD is the main currency of World of warcraft. You need it to purchase wow equipment upgrades, repair your armor, learn new spells and abilities, travel around the world and even re-learn your talents if you decide to re-spec. wow gold is required for success in any trade you partake in as well. Materials you need for your trade skill are not always available, nor do you necessarily possess the skill to gather it. An Alchemist may need items that only an Enchanter can produce, whilst a Leatherworker may require the services of a Blacksmith to craft a suit of leather armor. Without WoW GoldGuide, your character is doomed failure.for more about thgold.org

Are you an Envirovore?

It's true what our moms said...we are what we eat. In fact, it's truer than they thought. What I eat doesn't just affect me anymore, it affects all of us.

Unfortunately, the story of food can sometimes be complicated. But envirovores help each other out...which is why this blog will be bringing you news, tips, and information about food and the environment every step of the way.
